The Votely Political Test
The political ideology and values test: 81 ideologies in 3D
You’re more than a left-to-right number.
Votely scores you on three main axes, then on six more chosen for your region, and names the closest of 81 ideologies. It’s free and takes two to twelve minutes.
A third axis for social views
Economic, Governance, and Social run independently, so a culturally progressive libertarian and a socially conservative socialist do not collapse into the same quadrant.
Answers on a sliding scale
Every answer is a slider from 0 to 100%, so how strongly you hold a view is part of the result. A 30% agree and a 90% agree are different answers.
A result you can rotate
Your result sits in a cube with all 81 ideologies, so you can turn it around and see which traditions are your neighbors.
Pick two minutes or twelve
The short quiz has 12 questions and places you in 1 of 9 regions. The long quiz has 60, narrows you to 1 of 81 ideologies, and unlocks the report.
What taking it looks like
You can stop after 12 questions or keep going to 60.
Answer honestly
Each statement gets a slider instead of agree or disagree, so “sort of” counts as an answer.
Get mapped
Your answers become a point on the economic, governance, and social axes, which you can view flat or spin in 3D.
Find your ideology
You get the named ideology closest to your answers, with a short note on what its people believe.
Share and compare
Save your result as an image, or start a group quiz and see where your friends land.
Pick your quiz length
The short version is enough for a first read. Take the long one if you want the full report on your tradition.
It’s free, and you don’t need to sign up.
